Sunday, August 9

The wind blew and the ocean began to churn as we ventured offshore today in hopes that conditions would be manageable for watching whales. Alas, the ocean won as maneuvering around whales was less than ideal even though there was plenty to look at! We spent time with Quill the Humpback whales moving into, and down, the waves.

As we headed back to Rye Harbor we saw a different Humpback breach twice off our starboard side! Nothing like being in the right spot at the right time. We also passed by a Minke whale just south of the Isles of Shoals as we maneuvered home. We will see what the weather and the whales decide for us again tomorrow!
