Monday, August 17

So much marine life to gaze at today. This morning we had a grand slam! We saw 4 different types of whales during just one trip! There were 15 Minke whales spotted, 4 Ocean sunfish, a pod of 100 Atlantic white-sided dolphins, 2 Fin whales and 3 Humpback whales. Wow, so much to enjoy and be in awe of.

Many of our Humpback whales continued to create bubble clouds as we have seen them doing over the past few days. Our dolphins were just slowly on the move and full of younger whales as we watched them spread out all around the area.

This afternoon we were once again surrounded by multiple Minke whales, 9 in total, 4 Fin whales (including a pair!) and 3 Humpback whales. Our Fin whale pair appeared out of nowhere and gave us some great looks as Crow and friend circled around the area after initially popping up nearby.

Our Humpback whales included Highlighter, Patches and Mogul seen over the course of our afternoon travels.

Each of these whales were exhibiting their own behaviors, just as all whales do, as we watched some more remnants of bubble clouds appear at the surface, whales steadily traveling through the area, and a few tail breachs at the end of the day.

So many moments shared with our passengers today. Hope you all enjoyed them!
