Mother nature gave us the go-ahead this morning to sneak in our school trip before the weather changed for the worse. Today the students got a chance to see 2 minke whales and 3 fin whales.                                                                

Nothing like being able to show kids the second largest animal on earth; a fin whale!

This fin whale has some scars from a human-related encounter. We are lucky to see that this whale was able to heal from that impact.

The kids did great job helping us to stay with the whales and confirmed they had retained much of what they had learned in the classroom!
