The overnight wind left the morning ocean with a decent-sized swell, but of course, the whales didn’t care! We identified a dozen humpback whales, including two pairs and one group of five! The individuals were moving around quite a bit, but even as we idled around slowly, we hardly ever had a moment without a whale spout in the area! A humpback breached twice nearby! Here are a few images from the morning trip:

The seas laid down, and the sun peeked out for the afternoon trip. We found plenty of humpback whales again heading back to the same area as the morning! Some were the same as the morning trip, but some were different! One whale tail-lobbed briefly while others were blowing clouds of bubbles to concentrate the fish.

Beautiful day!
